13 CHOOSE CASH Cash was the choice of an award for “A” shift in Ecusta’s Winding and Calendering Department. The majority of the 25 shift workers decided on an award of $10 per person rather than a party, plaque or other prize. A native of Transylvania County where he was educated, Bryson is known widely for having one of the finest herds of Angus cattle in North Carolina. He is a member of the North Carolina Farm Bureau and the North Carolina Angus Association. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Brevard. He is married to the former Edna McCrary, librarian at Brevard Elementary School. Their son, Charles Bryson, is county execu tive director of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, U. S.
